Originally published in 1963 in Germany under the title "Weltbürgertum und Nationalstaat", F. Meinecke presents his brilliant analysis of the origins and development of the idea of the national state in Germany. Translated by Robert B. Kimber. Small area on fore-edge of front and back board bumped. Very slight foxing to top- and bottom page edges. Five-inch closed tear on dj inside repaired with tape, otherwise dust jacket and binding in very good, interior in near fine condition.
