Lansdowne, Melbourne, 1970. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Robin Hill. Preface by author and acknowledgements. Dark red coloured end pages. The text is illustrated with black and white drawings by the author dark red coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, again by Robin Hill, with dark red and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Aa personalised natural history of south-east Australia, made even more useful for the naturalist and traveller by the author's superb and authoritative illustrations of the flora, fauna and regions he describes."  from front fold over panel blurb. Rubbing and foxing to the text block edges. There are six holes to the front spine. A previous owner has covered the dustwrapper in plastic and held the plastic down with tape  tape in situ but it has left residue to the end pages. Previous owners name to the top right hand corner of the half title page. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with rubbing of the panels. Tape residue can be seen along the back strip edge. The dustwrapper is slightly crinkled due too tight placement of the plastic. Size: Folio ( 12"- 15" tall ). [12], 13 - 180, [4] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
