About This Item
"Corinne" in 2 lovely little illustrated volumes from 1894.
Pale pink cloth with a nice soft texture, decorative gilt to the front and the spine.
Gilt to the top of the page-block and other edges uncut.
Illustrations are all tissue-protected and both frontispiece engravings are by Walter L. Colls.
The spine is slightly sunned and foxed, and the boards have some slight staining, but the overall quality is really good for books of this age.
Printed "ex libris" device to the inside of each front cover states "This volume is one of the first issue of this edition of Mme de Stael's Corinne".
Very neat contemporary owner's signature, and otherwise unmarked.
