We note stains in the margins on several pages and there is a dark stain to the top margin of the book; the tissue over the frontispiece has adhered to the top margin, chip to bottom margin of page 271/272. There is an inscription on one of the blank pages preceding the title page and opposite that on the reverse of the frontispiece there appears to be another inscription which is covered over with eight recipes pasted over it. Cello tape which has darkened with age reinforces this place at the seam. We noted penciled brackets on one pages and a pencilled check mark on another pages.
