Madame Germaine de Stael's most important work, the last part of which was completed and edited by her son-in-law and son. Three volumes bound in contemporary quarter green morocco over marbled boards, gilt backs, marbled end papers and edges. Very Good, backs sunned, lettering at spine faded, light wear at corners, moderate age toning. prior owner name in ink, front opening Vol. I, still the bindings nice and firm. SCARCE in current commerce, the last 2nd ed. set seen at auction 1946. . Second Edition Revised and Corrected. Quarter Morocco. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
