New York: Macmillan, 1964. First Edition. First printing. Inscribed on half-title: "To Henry / souvenir of a visit to Amherst 1964 / Paul in all respect." With ownership signature on facing blank of American historican Henry Steele Commager, dated 1963. Very Good copy with small stain to gutter of title page and a bit of white paper residue to rear cover. Lacking the dustwrapper.
