Hardcover, quarto, bound in mustard yellow cloth with spine lettered in red, over blue paper covered boards. 275 pages. Original preface by Twain and introduction by Carl Van Doren. Illustrated throughout with line drawings by Honore Guilbeau. Sandglass laid-in. Presumed first edition thus. Previous owner's small book-plate affixed to inside front cover. Very mild age darkening to spine. else book is clean, square, tight and unmarked. Slipcase is solid but shows chipping to paper at joints and tips. Very good in a still good slipcase. Media mail only. .
