[New York]: Printed by Francis Childs and John Swain, 1790. Small folio broadside. Dbd. Small contemporary numerical inscription ("25") in lower margin. Near fine, untrimmed. "Approved, June the fourth, 1790." Congressional printing of an act passed by the second session of the First Congress, the last session to be held in New York. The act provides for the Secretary of State to hire a second clerk for his office. Signed in print by Speaker of the House Frederick Augustus Muhlenberg, John Adams, and George Washington. NAIP and OCLC together record three copies, at the American Antiquarian Society, the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, and the Library of Congress. Rare. BRISTOL B7578.
