Blackie & Son, Limited, Glasgow & Dublin, c. 1887, hardback with pictorial cloth boards, VG, b/w frontispiece in addition to five plates; all illustrated by John Schonberg, 352 pp. plus a further 32 pages of advertising 'Blackie & Sons Books for Young People' to the rear.
Boards edge worn with bumps to corners, quite grubby, bookseller label to front end paper, presentation plate on front free end paper, no annotations, sound tight binding, lean to the spine, pages clean, lightly tanned, top edge dust stained, water damage to bottom fore-edge corner of text block. Good sound copy.
