*Confrontations with Judaism, part of the Great Society series - edited by Philip Longworth Black covers hardcover silver titling spine, book does have wear on its perimeter Corners bumped printed on Buff colored stock -extensive notes in pencil back cover beige end paper - long small amount of stain on bottom of book might have been a tea spill long dried some underlining in pencil on several pages book is not in fabulous shape just good...- notes are in bullet points as if a researcher or serious scholar made them, dust jacket has some rather significant errors on its covers book was not handles probably very well at a later point in its life.... many Jews are strange from traditional Judaism, book as a result of a symposium in confrontation of the problem. Judaism's a way of life commanding observers every action, and intellectual system demanding lifelong study. Modern secular worlds can also be demanding. We have estrangement and antagonism between the Orthodox and other shades of faith. Religious leaders complain of The Bleak spiritual outlook for Jewry, others assert that Judaism is outmoded & irrelevant.
