London: Blackie & Son Limited. Very Good. 1893. 1st Edition. Hardcover. 352 p. 19 cm. Dated 1893 on the title page. Rebound in full leather with raised bands and decorated spine, marbled endpapers, and text block edges marbled. The upper board has been stamped in gold with the name and motto of the "High School of Quebec". The foot of the spine is worn with small loss of leather. The edges and corners have some wear, more so on the bottom, where the corners are worn through. Rubbed with some light scratches overall. There is a prize label from the High School dated 1921 on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. An attractive copy. Includes eight black and white plates from art by Walter Paget and a pull out map of Russia. .
