The second of her three religious novels, the others were Brampton Rectory: or, The Lesson of Life, 1849, London and The Youth and Womanhood of Helen Tyrrel, 1854, London. Neither of those are found in current commerce. Bound in contemporary embossed calf, ornate gilt back, end papers and edges marbled. iv, 407 pages. Very Good Plus, corners rubbed, calf soiled, prior owner gift inscription dated 1853. . First Edition. Embossed Calf. Very Good Plus/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
