Good with wear to the binding and the interior has toning and minor stains Beam was a leading member of the Eclectic medicine tradition which grew out of the earlier Thompsonian medical tradition Beam was instrumental in fighting an 1889 Pennsylvania bill that would have made the practice eclectic medicine difficult in the state Sadly, Beam died later that year in the Johnstown flood 33 pp pp.
