About This Item
Alfred A. Knopf, 1946. Hardcover. Good. Two volume box set in slipcase. The volumes are covered with dark blue cloth with title, author, editor names, volume numbers and publisher in gilt on spine. Gilt remains bright. The books have been protected by the sturdy slip case and both retain their firm binding. They appear to not have been read. Tips are lightly faded. Bottom of the spine are bumped. The slipcase itself is sunned on the edges, and the corners have light shelf wear. Upper right corner has been dinged. The slipcase is made of sturdy cardboard and the front features artwork by E. McKnight Kauffer, and his work is also found inside both books. Nice and bright. Very good condition, despite light fading to slip case. Pictures available upon request.
