Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Occasional thumb-marking present. Text-block is loose from binding. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Dent with small split to edge of front board. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Book is slightly forward leaning.

Walton lived through turbulent times and found in nature the best salve for national tragedy and personal sorrow. -
