London: Cassell. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1960. 1st Edition. Hardcover. 303 p. 22 cm. Sound and square binding in black cloth-covered boards. A couple of minor soil spots to the boards. Text block edges are a bit dusty. Inside pages are clean and unmarked, with very light age toning. Dustwrapper has some rub wear to the corners and spine ends. The top edge of the rear panel and the flap folds are somewhat darkened. Price clipped. Subtitled: "A Dictionary of Death by Poison, Death by Shooting, Death by Suffocation and Drowning, and Death by the Strangler's Hand 1900-1950". An alphabetically arranged descriptive and biographical guide to murders, murderers, trials, and judges and counsel associated with murder trials in the first fifty years of the 20th century. Includes a Table of Murders which classifies the type of murder and refers to individual cases within the book. .
