Paperback. xvi, [79]p., softbound, first American edition (so stated) in 7x5 inch red wraps with cover titling in white, black & blue on bright red, a good copy with a mild touch of edgewear to covers and a small smudge to terminal leaf, else sound, clean and unmarked. Wartime morale-boosting, particularly to women and to religious persons. Leaves paginated in Roman numerals constitute author's address to a US audience as well as the "Foreword to the British edition". A 1940s reprint has fewer pages, we do not know the difference implied.
