Hardcover in yellow illustrated dust jacket. The jacket has minimal wear, although the jacket spine is a little sunned. Top edge is foxed. Front flyleaf has some small indention marks. Half title page has the signature of Lindley Butler, a North Carolina Historian. A sound copy with clean text. The prior owner had put a couple of post-it notes at the top edges of some pages, but there are no markings in the text itself. Contains a few maps and a couple of genealogical charts, mainly of the Carter family of Virginia.
