London: Ellis & Elvey , 1887-90. Cloth. Very Good. 8" by 5". None. The complete collected works of popular poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti, in the original gilt cloth. Two volumes. Complete in two. First published in 1886. This two volume set features the collected works of poet, illustrator and translator Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Rossetti founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood alongside William Holman Hunt and John Everett Millais. 'Volume I' includes Rossetti's prose, tales and literary papers, with 'Volume II' featuring his translations and prose-notices of fine art. In the publisher's original gilt cloth. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with slight fading to the spines, slight marks to the boards, bumping to the extremities, very minimal loss to the cloth to the tails of the spines with a closed tear to the cloth to the tail of the spine to 'Volume I' and very small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine and to the front joint to 'Volume II'. Hinges tender to 'Volume II' with offsetting to the endpapers to 'Volume I'. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages and the odd spot, heavier to the front and rear to 'Volume I' and offsetting to the blanks to 'Volume I'. Very Good
