This work is in original publisher's cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. First UK edition. US edition published in 1947. This work by E. M. Forster comprises of twelve tales, including The Story of a Panic and The Celestial Omnibus. With an introduction by the author from the US edition published a year prior. Forster refers to his short stories as 'fantasies', with this particular selection written at various times before World War One. With bookseller label of Collet's London Bookshop to front paste down. In publisher's original cloth binding and original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with minor shelf wear only. Fading to extremities of spine. Occasional mark to boards. Offsetting and age toning to endpapers.
