New York: Henry Holt, 1945. Wartime Book, March 1945. Also includes a vintage book review by Alexander Woollcott which was found tucked into book. Blue clothbound hardcover; 264 pages with black and white frontispiece on glossy stock. From jacket: "When he died in 1936, A.E. Housman was universally acknowledged the greatest English poet of our day. This volume is not only the first which presents the whole of his poetic work, but the definitive edition of it as well." Includes: A Shropshire Lad, Last Poems, More Poems. Pages are toned. Owner's name written on inside of front cover, mostly hidden by jacket. Jacket is edgeworn with minor chipping at head and heel of spine, top front and corners. There are several small tears to top of back of jacket and a tear to top of jacket spine. Top of spine is frayed and head of heel of spine are bumped; tacky area on fep where sticker was removed. Quotes are for illustrative purposes only and remain the property of their copyright holders.
