Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1952. Hard Cover. Very Good binding/Good dust jacket. Octavo. viii, 407 pp. First edition, early printing. Signed and inscribed by MacLeish on the front free endpaper. In publisher's cloth binding with titled in silver on the spine with author's initials boldly blocked in silver on the front cover. Binding is a bit sunned at the board edges; contents are clean; dust jacket is worn with early tape repairs in several place on the back; spine sunned; price intact on the front flap; despite the wear, it presents fairly well in a mylar cover. A nice collection of early poetry by the decorated poet, winner of multiple Pulitzer's in poetry and drama as well as the National Book Award.
