London: Heinemann and The Bodley Head, 1969-1982. [Modern Literature] THE COLLECTED EDITION. First editions thus, complete as published in 22 volumes and additionally with the volume of essays published in 1969. All volumes are first printings of the collected edition and include a new introduction by the author. Publishers' bright green cloth with titles in gilt to spines, various topstains (some are not tinted); in the original typographic dust-jackets designed by Michael Harvey. No inscriptions, none are price clipped, some light uniform toning to spines. Generally near fine set; uncommon to find complete and in such bright condition.
