Hardback small octavo, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good dustjacket), tan cloth board (gilt title on spine), black & white text-photos, table, faint foxing reverse side jacket (light foxing rear cover, spine little faded, lightly rubbed, some edgewear, small closed tear top edge), edges & white endpapers lightly foxed, erratum slip tipped in at title page 112 pp. This book by Roger McNeice relates to the currency, both metal and paper, used in Van Diemens Land (later Tasmania) from 1803 to 1910, after the separation from New South Wales. Includes the problems the governors had to contend with in regard to currency, and how they solved them. Written by the founder and past secretary of the Tasmanian Numismatic Society. SCARCE.
