Tucscon, AZ: The University of Arizona Press, 1992. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good. First edition (in this format). Gray cloth with black quarter cloth binding. No jacket. Gilt titling on the spine, with minor gilt decoration on the front cover. 210 pp. A Nahuatl language edition of the Codex Chimalpopoca, a postconquest Aztec codex in three parts: the first part historical, along with the Legend of the Suns; the second part was a short Spanish work discusses Aztec deities and rites; the third discusses sun legends. The codex is also known for its stories of Quetzalcoatl. The original codex manuscript was lost in the mid 20th century. Includes a glossary in English explaining various terms in the book. VERY GOOD condition. Light fading and edgewear. Previous owner's name and notation on the title page.
