Oxford, London, 1943. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. 600 g; XVI, 256 pages, indexed, illustrated with black-and-white photographs, and with illustrated end page map. Illustrated dustjacket by Lynton Lamb. The usual darkening of the edges of the pages, and offset tanning but otherwise no damage to report. The author died in 1950, and the publishers now wishes definitive edition. The text is as revised by the author for the 2nd edition and 15 illustrations from the author's own photographs and other sources have been chosen to make a fitting memorial to Dr Wood -- front fold over blurb -- 1st edition thusly The jacket is chipped and torn.
