About This Item
British Columbia: British Columbia (BC) Amateur Hockey Association (BCAHA), 1980. Book. Good. Paperback. First Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 46 pages. Dozens of helpful black and white photos and diagrams. "Intended as a valuable aid to coaches at all levels as a reference for practice planning" - from page one. Divided into the following sections: Skating; Stretching; Puck Control; Passing/Receiving/Shooting; Checking; Team Play. Average wear. Unmarked. Binding intact. A sound copy. Your humble bookseller once heard co-author Danny Gare mention that when he was young his co-author father, Ernie, advised him that to make the NHL he would have to be able to shoot, skate... and fight. Danny clearly took this advice to heart and went on to an excellent career in the NHL. If that is any indication, this book is most likely an excellent reference indeed. Ernie Gare has coached hockey for many years and earned a Master's degree in Physical Education..
