London: Chatto & Windus, 1899. Decorative Cloth. Collectible; Very Good. A tight, well-preserved copy of this 1899 new edition (following the 1872 original ed.). "With Anecdotes of Its Famous Coffee Houses, Hostelries, and Taverns from the Seventeenth Century to the Present Time". VG in its crimson cloth, with bright gilt-insignia to front panel and bright gilt-lettering at the spine. Somewhat-pronounced fading along the spine, foxing to the preliminaries and, very lightly, to the text and elegant armorial bookplate at the front pastedown. Thick 12mo, 544 pgs. plus Chatto & Windus catalogue.
