London: Heinemann, 1976. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a first printing of the first edition. There is a gift interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The illustrated covers are bright, with just a bit of light rubbing at tips and corners. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in very good condition, with minor foxing at the top and bottom of the flaps. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "Young Nightingale, newly apprenticed to a master-carver of mirror frames, is obliged to move in with his master's family. It is no easy for him when Lucinda, his master's pretty daughter, persists in tricking and testing him with mirrors.
