London: Heinemann, 1958. First edition, 1958. Blue cloth, color frontis plate, other plates in black and white, illustrated dustjacket. Good to very good with good hinges, sound text block, light foxing to outer edges of text block, some additional light foxing to half-title and title page, clean pages with a name and date on the front free endpaper, decorative name stamp to half-title, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is good with edgewear including tiny closed tears, shelf soil to light colored background of rear panel, some very minor chips with almost no paper loss, reverse side of dustjacket reinforced with old tape at upper and lower edges. About the ascent of Machapuchare, a 22,958 foot peak in Nepal. This book is from a collection of alpine and mountaineering books owned by Jeffery and Beverly Parrette who traveled the world climbing challenging peaks and often presented the books to one another as gifts.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
