London: Museum Press Ltd., 1956 VG/G. 8vo. original blue cloth (inscrip. to FFE, neat bookseller's stamp to front pastedown, slight fade to cloth at head of backstrip) in black dustwrapper (price-clipped, rubbed & creased with some light flecking to front panel, 3cm chip lost at head of spine); pp. 192 (last blank), with 32 plates, 6 maps & 97 text figures. A very good copy in a worn dustwrapper [Neate E28]. A largely instructional work, interspersed with the author's climbing experiences in Britain, the Alps and the Himalaya. Charles Evans was a member of the successful British Everest expedition in 1953, and led the 1955 attempt on Kanchenjunga. . First Edition. Hard Cover. VG/G.
