Paris: Se vend Chez Martinon, 1844. Second Edition. Hardcover. Very good. A gastronomical classic, originally published in sixty parts and presented here complete. Includes selections from Brillat-Savarin's Physiology of Taste, a selection of Bacchic songs, La Gastronomie of Joseph Berchoux, The Marquis de Cussy's L'Art Culinaire, etc. IV, XXII, (4), 609 [printer's numbering error: 567-582, collated complete], 4. Frontispiece portrait, with a title page vignette, 23 plates, and ten textual engravings. Octavo. In a one-quarter brown morocco over marbled paper binding, with a gilt-stamped black leather spine label, black stamping, and marbled endpapers. Occasional foxing to the contents, which are a little shaken, with some minor staining to a few leaves. Modest wear to the extremities; else very good.
