Twenty year old Sarah Morgan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana began her diary in 1862 and continued it until 1865 even after moving to New Orleans. Three of her brothers joined the Confederacy. "A complete, unexpurgated, and adequately annotated version of a diray which has been partiall available for many years. The complete diary permits a fuller view of the diarist, of her psychological development and the world in which she lives. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no owner names and no bookplates in the publisher's original green cloth covers. The dust jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. ; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 626 pages .
