New York: Castle Books, n.y.. Hardcover. 4to. Red cloth spine and yellow paper over boards. 360pp. Extensive illustrations, pictorial endpapers. Very good. Front hinge a tad delicate but archivally strengthened, thus strong. Just a circa 1965 reprint of this standard reference, but tight and decent and filled with outstanding illustrations.

- The portion of the book closest to the spine that allows the book to be opened and closed.

- Tight
- Used to mean that the binding of a book has not been overly loosened by frequent use.
- Spine
- The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf....
