About This Item
Seattle, 1899. About very good.. 117pp. Original tan printed wrappers. Spine moderately chipped. Minor wear and soiling. This volume provides detailed specifications for contractors wishing to bid on this massive water supply project. Contracts were awarded on April 19, 1899, and work began soon afterward, with the Pacific Bridge Company building headworks and intake on the Cedar River and a pipeline from the intake to the city. Smith, Wakefield, and David constructed two reservoirs and a standpipe in the city, with pipes and pumps connecting them. We locate four copies in OCLC, all in Washington institutions.
