Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to text block edges. Binding remains firm. Bottom corners of page 269 and rear endpaper are chipped. Bookseller sticker to bottom edge of front pastedown. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is slightly dulled. Faint white markings with scuffing to boards. Sunning to spine ends and edges. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped jacket. Panels have heavy edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Loss to edges and corners. Faint black marks to rear.

Synopsis

Gore Vidal was born in 1925 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His first novel, Williwaw , written when he was nineteen years old and serving in the Army, appeared in the spring of 1946. Since then he has written twenty-three novels, five plays, many screenplays, short stories, well over two hundred essays, and a memoir.
