Set on Earth in the distant future, twelve hundred years after an enemy named the Shing has taken up residence on Earth, the indigenous inhabitants of Earth have been reduced to small communities that are widely separated, living in highly independent rural communes, or in nomadic tribes. When a ship crashes into the planet, the Shing erase the memory of the pilot and abandon him in the forest. Written by Ursula Kroeber Le Guin, an American author best known for her works of speculative fiction and science fiction. In the original pictorial paper binding. Synopsis
City of Illusions is a 1967 science fiction novel by Ursula K. Le Guin, set on Earth in the distant future in her Hainish Cycle. City of Illusions was republished in 1978 along with Rocannon's World and Planet of Exile in a volume called Three Hainish Novels and in 1994 with the same novels in Worlds of Exile and Illusion.
