one book of a two book series, either would stand alone both are enhanced by reading together. Ever been to the Wisconsin Dell's Area, its a tourist trap built around a natural geological set of features, nearby just a few miles south of there is the real and secret Vacation spot to visit. Baraboo, Wisconsin. A quiet little town, ( at least it was when last I passed hat way.) which holds the kernal that the author used to build this story... Circus World Museum.
a cool little museum dedicated to the history of the circus, in fact they run a clown college there or did, and circuses all summer long, in addition to the turn of the Previous century (18th) artifacts from the Age of the circus. This series of books tells a remarkable Sci-fi vision of what happens, as circuses reach outward along with man in the expansion into space. I enjoyed the classical Sci-fi Tale very much, even more so for having visited Baraboo and Circus World Museum.
