Second edition", being the First Trade edition, issued in March, 1922, one month after the Signed & Limited Large Paper Issue in February, 1922. Octavo. Blue cloth with gilt titles to front cover and spine. 322 pages. Frontispiece by Sidney H. Sime. Some foxing and browning to preliminary and terminal leaves; small, faint bookstamp from "Betram Smith's Acres of Books, Long Beach California" on front paste-down. Spine panel lightly browned and cloth slightly worn at head & heel of spine panel, rubbed at edges. A very good, sound copy.
¶ Joshi & Schweitzer 1A.20.a.3. - although 1A.20.a.2. - a trade edition which states 'first printed February 1922' is only speculation, and does not exist.
