Signed by Mencken on full title with inscription (possibly in another hand) "To Peter Petcoff via [?] and H.L. Mencken." Small octavo (6.75" x 5.75"); 31pp. Color and black and white illustrations thorughout, with full color illustrated endpapers. Blue cloth with mounted illustration to front and gilt lettering to spine. Missing dust jacket. Boards bowing a bit at fore-edge, with fading and toningalong spine and fore-edge, a few scattered smudges to cloth, and dulling to spine lettering. Glue shadow / toning along gutter of final page of text and lightly opposite title page. Pages toning a bit along edges, but unmarked. Binding is secure.
