A summary of the five principal phases of Christian art – the Genesis of the art, Byzantine style, Romanesque, Gothic and the Renaissance. Rubbing of the book edges and panels with a little chipping to the top back strip edge. Sunning of the back strip with age toning of the text block edges and pages. Original price ticket still in situ between the verso of the front panel and 1/2 title page – which has caused tanning – please see photograph.
