New York, New York: Random House, 1964. First Edition, 2nd Printing 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Very Good+/VG-. Burningham, John. The quintessential British children's tale of a magical flying car, made into a beloved movie starring Dick Van Dyke in 1968. Just removed from my personal shelves, this is a FIRST EDITION, slightly later printing, from 1964, with former owner's (my) name in pencil to verso of ffep, Lacking the first edition statement, but not yet a fourth printing with the added number line. No "ps" on dedication page. In 111 + [3] pages. With bright red cloth-covered boards lettered in silt to front & spine, this small quarto is in VG+ condition: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages off-white & unmarked save for a hint of light foxing to some edges inside & out. Very mild rubbing to extremities & mild corner bumping. The price-clipped DJ is VG- (minus), with slight chipping to all corners & both ends of spine, light soil & rubbing; protected in clear mylar since the 1960s. Our photos depict he EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
