About This Item
New York. The Macmillan Co. 1917. Bound in pictorial gilt decorated cloth. Small 8vo. First Edition. This copy bares a lengthy inscription by Lindsay in bold ink to the front free endsheet. It also presents a hand written, apparently original poem in manuscript to front pastedown. The 9 lined poem, and title "Columbus" is in holograph and penned neatly in black ink. Signed with initials. Covers mildly rubbed with the spine a bit more so, resulting in dulling of spine decoration. Short marginal tear to half title. A Near Fine copy bearing an original poem in holograph by one of the 20th century's most noted American poets.
