A native Chinese offers this picture album, lavishly illustrated with watercolors which he painted himself, to celebrate the traditional folk culture of his country with images of toys & ornaments, some from his past, some that he created himself in the traditional style. Unpaginated. Orig. published in 1980, this appears to be the fourth printing from 1984 (per rear number sequence) of that FIRST EDITION. Square-ish (7.5" x 8.5") hardcover has a spine narrowly wrapped in deep blue cloth & lettered in gilt, with blue paper & stamped gilt covering the remaining boards, with a decorative central picture to front. Condition is VG+: very clean & bright, with modest edgewear & rubbing, heaviest at corners. Binding strong & straight, pages have light gray margins with centered color image, each captioned in both Chinese & English. No DJ.
