Chinaman's Reef is almost a ghost town in the middle of nowhere in Australia, whose settled life is threatened by the arrival of a huge mining company. In particular attention is focused on the reaction of the children of the town. Neat name of Margery Fisher on front endpaper (well known reviewer and historian of children's books, author of many books on the subject), otherwise a Fine crisp clean copy in very good plus DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, slightly worn at head and tail of spine and upper corners, one 5 mm (¼") closed tear to lower panel).
