Sunning on the spine half of the cover vertically, as if the book extended beyong the other books on the shelf and received sun only on the spine. Wear to corners. Orange and white endpages. Gift inscription on half title page. Full color frontispiece. Illustrations by Lois Lenski. Publication date on title page matches copyright date. No additional printings. 13 stories. Black and white illustrations on most pages. Frontispiece and 5 additional full color illustrations. Page 66 has a large closed tear. A children's classic in nice condition, lacking jacket.
