Gift inscription and annotations in pencil on front free endpaper, annotations in pen on page 45, cracked spine between front board and text block, binding fragile, pages lightly tanned and grubby in many places, several pages torn, rubs to corners and edges, coloured frontispiece missing. Boards intact, firm, overall quite grubby, edgeworn (see scans).
