Very good, 1st edition (2nd issue), no d/j, marbled boards, half-calf (some splitting on spine), gilt titling; text block firm, pages unmarked and crisp; inevitable foxing.. 8vo: crown (200 x 140 / 8"" x 5_""). Byron's long narrative poem was written in four parts and published between 1812 and 1818. In Canto IV, Harold leaves Venice to travel through Italy lamenting the vanished heroic past.
