About This Item
London: Rupert Hart-Davis. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. (price-clipped) [nice clean book with minimal shelfwear; jacket is lightly browned along spine panel, otherwise quite nice with just a touch of soiling here and there, faint wear along top edge, small tear at upper front flap-fold]. (B&W photographs) A memoir of the 1920s by the daughter of playwright Frederick Lonsdale. The author, "quiet, observant and very much alive, closely resembled thousands of her generation who experienced the same hard but exciting struggle in coming to terms with life. In her neat and good-tempered way she brings alive the attitudes and atmospheres common to that time." .

About ReadInk
Now in our 24th year of on-line bookselling, ReadInk offers an eclectic selection of quality books in a variety of subject areas. We are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (our customer). All orders and inquiries receive our prompt, personal attention. Our grading of a book's condition is conservative ("Fine" is our highest grade, and used sparingly); all significant flaws are described, but we will be happy to provide additional information and/or a scanned image upon request. Your book will be shipped promptly, well-wrapped and securely packaged; the dust jacket, if any, will be enclosed in a new Brodart cover.
