Full red cloth covered boards, black lettering on on front cover and spine, spear decoration on front board, well illustrated including endpaper maps of Nez Perce country. Inscribed and signed by cover artist David Manuel with hand drawn illustration of tipi, pine trees, mountains, clouds and arrowhead dated 1991. Inscription reads " To D*** & B*** Best Wishes". Author chronicles the history of the Nez Perce people from their pre-history days to the tragedy of the Nez Perce War. Very good + in VG dust jacket. Very light wear to bottom tips of boards, heel of spine and slight push to head of spine. Jacket has two 3/4" closed tears to top edge of front and rear panels, rubbing along edges of spine panel, small closed tear to bottom edge of front panel.
